Terms of use
Plain conditions for reading, quoting, and relying on the charts.

Using the site
Rated to Watch is free to read for personal, non-commercial use. You are welcome to quote a ranking or a line of our commentary with attribution and, where you are publishing online, a link back to the page you took it from. Republishing a chart in full, or scraping the site in bulk, needs our permission first.
Please do not attempt to interfere with the site: no automated request floods, no probing for vulnerabilities, no circumventing the advertising that pays for it.
Accuracy
The charts are assembled every week from public sources and published as-is. The Netflix lists reproduce figures Netflix publishes itself; the HBO Max and Prime Video lists are ordered by a pageview measure that stands in for viewing data those services do not release. Both can be wrong, out of date, or briefly nonsensical after a bad upstream week, and the ranking method is explained on the About page precisely so you can judge that for yourself. Nothing here is investment, professional, or purchasing advice, and nothing here is a guarantee that a title is available in your country.
Other people’s material
Plot summaries and cast lists are adapted from English Wikipedia and are used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence; that licence travels with the text, so if you reuse those passages you must credit Wikipedia and share alike. Series key art is supplied by TVmaze. Film posters are reproduced from the corresponding Wikipedia article at thumbnail size for the purpose of identifying the work under discussion, and remain the property of their copyright holders. Netflix, HBO Max, and Prime Video are trademarks of their respective owners, used here descriptively.
Our own rankings, editorial commentary, methodology, page design, and code remain ours. If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, write to us and we will take it down or attribute it properly.
Advertising
The site carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are labelled and are not endorsements: we do not vet advertisers, and a product appearing in an ad slot has no relationship to the charts. Complaints about a specific ad are best directed to Google, though we would like to hear about it too.
Liability
Rated to Watch is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site — including any inaccuracy in a ranking or a synopsis. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and contact
These terms may change; the date at the top of the page shows when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
A contact address is published here once the site’s operator sets one for this deploy.
